A Grind Archetype Is More Than One Spec
Most wedge fittings start and end with a single bounce number pulled from a chart. We treat bounce as one input among several — camber, trailing-edge relief, sole width, and heel/toe relief all interact to determine how a wedge behaves through a real strike, and two wedges with identical stamped bounce can play completely differently depending on how the rest of the sole is shaped.
Your low-point read tells us where your swing bottoms out on full-swing and partial-swing wedge shots, which is often a different point than your iron swing. We map both before recommending a grind.
What "Grind Archetype" Means

Your Wedge Set Doesn't Need One Grind for All Three
It's common for a gap wedge to carry more sole and less relief than a lob wedge in the same bag, because the two clubs are used for different shots with different attack angles. We fit and grind each wedge on its own, not as a single blanket spec applied across the set.
