Attack Angle Off the Tee Isn't Random
Your low point — measured the same way for irons and wedges — also tells us whether your natural swing arc is bottoming out ahead of, at, or behind a teed ball, which directly shapes your driver attack angle. Golfers with a low point that sits well ahead of center tend to hit down on the ball even off a tee, while a low point further back naturally produces a more ascending strike. Neither is wrong, but the loft, shaft, and setup that fit each pattern are different.
From there, fitting moves to standard driver variables: head design, shaft weight and flex, loft, and face angle, all checked on the launch monitor against carry, spin, and dispersion.
