Every Club Bottoms Out Somewhere. We Grind the Sole to Meet It There.
Sole Grind Studio fits and hand-grinds sole geometry around the one number most shops never measure — where your swing actually bottoms out. Camber, trailing-edge relief, and sole width are cut to your low point on our own bench, club by club, from driver to putter.
Every Club Gets a Session, Not Just the Driver
Head, shaft, and length are only half the build. For irons and wedges, we finish every session with a sole pass ground to how you actually meet the turf — not a stock grind pulled off a rack.
Driver Fitting
Head, shaft, and loft combinations benchmarked against the same low-point read we take for your irons, for a cleaner match between tee shot and iron game.

Sole camber and turf glide matched to your attack angle off the deck, so the head skims instead of digging on a thin lie.
Learn more →Hybrid Fitting
A long-iron replacement built to launch and land like one, with sole shaping that matches how it actually needs to move through impact.
Learn more →Iron Fitting
Our core discipline: lie, loft, and length paired with a full sole grind pass — camber, width, and trailing-edge relief set club to club across the set.
Learn more →Wedge Fitting
Grind archetypes hand-cut to your low point and typical turf, not a bounce number picked off a loft chart.
Learn more →Putter Fitting
Length, lie, loft, and face balance checked against your stroke path on a dedicated putting capture rail.
Learn more →Five Words We Use on Every Grind Ticket
These are the shapes we actually cut into a sole, not marketing terms — the same five words appear on every ticket that leaves our bench.
Low Point
Where your swing arc actually bottoms out relative to the ball — the number every grind decision starts from.
Camber
The heel-to-toe and front-to-back curvature ground into the sole so it rolls through turf instead of catching.
Trailing-Edge Relief
Material relieved behind the leading edge, changing how the sole releases through impact on firmer ground.
Sole Width Band
How wide the contact patch runs at each stop in the set — wide in the long irons, narrower toward the wedges.
Heel & Toe Relief
Asymmetric grinding for players who consistently work the face open or closed at the moment of strike.
A Stock Sole Fights the Turf. A Ground Sole Works With It.
Most factory irons ship with one sole shape across a huge range of swing types. If your low point, attack angle, or typical turf don't match the assumptions baked into that stock grind, the leading edge either catches early or the club skips through impact — both cost you strike quality before the shaft or loft ever enter the picture.

Low-Point Read
We log where your current clubs actually bottom out using a divot board and marked-face strikes, before touching a grinder.
Demo & Head Fitting
Heads, shafts, lengths, and lies are set first, on demo stock across brands, benchmarked against your low-point read.
Sole Grind Pass
Camber, trailing-edge relief, and sole width are cut by hand on our bench grinder, checked against a digital profile gauge between passes.
Verify & Release
Final lie, loft, and swing weight are re-checked after grinding, and every ticket goes home with your build spec attached.
What Comes Back After a Grind Session
I'd been chunking wedges off tight lies for years. Turned out my trailing edge was catching first — one relief pass and that miss basically disappeared.
Nobody had ever measured my low point before. Once they showed me it sat two inches behind the ball, the whole camber conversation finally made sense.
My long irons and short irons finally feel like they came from the same set. The sole width step-down across the bag is subtle but you can feel it through turf.
Every Major Brand Comes Off the Wall for Comparison
We're an independent studio, not tied to a single manufacturer's quota — heads and shafts are compared side by side before anything touches the grinder.
Curious Where Your Own Low Point Actually Sits?
Sessions run 75–100 minutes, cover the full bag or a single club, and include a written grind ticket. Fitting fees credit toward any build or regrind done on our bench.
